LI Bingqi is Professor at University of New South Wales, Australia. Her research is on social policy and governance She is also an Honorary Professor at the University of Sydney and Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg. She is currently the Chair of East Asian Social Policy Research Network. Her current research includes active aging in China and Australia, collaborative local governance and public trust in Australia, disability inclusion and digital policy in China, Australia, and PNG with a special focus on entrepreneurship in welfare provision. She has frequently consulted international organisations on various social policy and development topics in China and other developing countries. She has published 90+ peer reviewed journal articles and 14 contracted reports. She is an Associate editor of the journal Urban Governance, an editorial board member of the Routledge Book Series of Local Governance in China and advisory/editorial boards of multiple academic journals: Environment & Urbanisation, Housing Studies, Poverty and Social Justice.
