On November 11, 2022, at the 25th ASEAN-China (10+1) Summit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Li Keqiang, then Premier of The State Council of the People's Republic of China, announced that China will implement the 'ASEAN-China Digital Talent Development Program' and train 1,000 digital talents for ASEAN countries in the next three years. In order to implement these achievements, Zhejiang University is commissioned to organize the China-ASEAN Digital Economy Workshop (CADES). Every year, about 200 from the governments, industry and academia of ASEAN member states will be recruited to Zhejiang Province for a short-term workshop on the topic of digital economy. The first session of the 2023 workshop would be undertaken by the Centre for International Studies on Development and Governance at Zhejiang and Zhejiang University (CiSDG), and would be assisted by the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation (FCSSC). The first session of the 2023 workshop would recruit about 60 participants and would be fully funded by ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) and Zhejiang Provincial Government. The workshop could officially start on August 14 (Monday).
